libbiojava1.7-java software package provides Java API to biological data and applications (version 1.7), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libbiojava1.7-java
libbiojava1.7-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libbiojava1.7-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbiojava1.7-java *
You will get with libbiojava1.7-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
